Farm Experiences
Meet the Animals
From our Viking sheep roaming the coast to pigs turning the soil and goats following us into the mountains, the animals shape life at Sandvik Farm throughout the year.
The Sheep
Our sheep spend much of the year roaming the coastal landscape around Sandvik Farm. Following the seasons, they graze the hills and heath before being gathered from the mountains.
The Pigs.
Our pigs are part of life at the farm — turning soil, improving pastures and providing plenty of personality along the way.
What pigs naturally do best..
Our pigs have an important job at Sandvik Farm. Three of our sows live out in the woodland, where they root through the soil, clear vegetation and help us restore and improve grazing areas for the sheep. Fully grown, they can weigh close to 500 kg — powerful animals doing what pigs naturally do best.
Then there’s Napoleon.
Napoleon was rejected by the herd and ended up staying close to the farm, where she has become our very own 300 kg soil cultivator — and one of the farm’s biggest personalities.
She takes her work seriously, but food even more so. Anything sweet is welcome, and watermelon is an absolute favourite.
The Goats
Curious, stubborn and happiest when they're following us somewhere they probably shouldn't.
Our goats are part of everyday farm life and often join us out in the landscape around Sandvik.
